May 25, 2023

On Thursday 25 May, Tomás Ariztía participated in the workshop Economic Expertise and the Valuation of Sustainable Energy Resources. A dialogue between the sociology of expertise, valuation studies, and resource geography, organised by Copenhagen Business School, in which the interaction between economic sociology, valuation studies and the geography of energy resources was discussed.

During the event, Tomás Ariztía presented a paper entitled “The social lives of clean resources. Energy futures, modes of valuation and the materiality of green hydrogen generation“, which explored some of the project’s guidelines. His presentation focused on analysing how green hydrogen acquires relevance in different energy and social scenarios, highlighting its potential to transform energy futures through new forms of valorisation and its material impact. This intervention was part of an interdisciplinary dialogue space that sought to promote a broader understanding of how these approaches converge in the management and valorisation of clean technologies.
